Please C&C my first business card...

i want to do weddings portraits and engagements mostly.... way i see it is not many people wont htink this baby i took a photo of isnt really cute... women like babies. women get married and engaged... its a womans world...

Please could anyone look through my baby photos on my flickr and suggest if this is the best baby shot to use? i htink it works well with the negative space allowing for info on the card... thanks

Like the card but its doesnt say "weddings" to me...it says baby portraits...Also the font is too static for me...I like the font, maybe make your name bold or something...The text kind of runs together and it needs something to break it up...

Why are you using a 'msn.com' e-mail? Why not use your own like 'info@tobiahtayo.com'?

I agree it says baby portraits not weddings.

i do all types of photography. and eventually plan to produce cards which different images on for different clients....

I dont neccessarily do more weddings than babies... (not sure which i'd prefer yet)

but i think a baby image will advertise to a wedding couple more than a wedding image would advertise to a mother wanting a baby shoot....

I personally think that i'd look at this and say wow he's a good photographer bet he does nice wedding shots... more than i would look at a wedding shot and go wow thats a cool pic bet his baby photos are good....

Does that make sense?

I like it, but you could do one for weddings, and keep that one for baby clients. Horses for courses you know. Very professionaly looking though.

I personally find this card confusing. Looking at what you cover, its a big range and you need to find something neutral in all of those. Personally I would scrap what you specialise in and mention that on your site.

If you are handing out a business card, why not mention some of your specialties at that point? What you could do is remove the baby and have square boxes running down the card with a small photo of different events.

Your work is good but I feel this card does not match up to what you can do.

I like the card, dosen't say weddings, but if you think the image will sell than go for it. I'm about to make some new cards myself.

I have thought about several images but it wasnt working for me. to me this just says awww... something people will show their friends hopefully and is eye catching...
It has my specialities along the bottom. I just want to catch interest to get them to my site (when i eventually have one!)

by the way i know i need to improve my portfolio a lot. at the moment its very sparse...

Cool, why not make a few different designs and then post them up on POTN to get peoples feedback as to which they prefer? Might give you a better idea of what appeals to the public.
