Canon G9, Ikelite housing & Inon d-2000 strobe

I'm looking for anyone who has this setup to see how this specific strobe works with the G9. According to the literature, the Inon d2000 senses the G9's preflash & does an excellent job metering through the lens.

Anyone using this? If so, I'd like to ask you some more questions as I've never used a strobe before & I'd also like to see some pictures.
