any one done macro at longleat butterfly farm

im planning on going there next week..are u aloud to use flashes ?

Yes, i went there a few weeks ago. Very small and cramped, was literally impossible to shoot in there due the amount of people. Some lovley butterflies in there though. If you go in the week you may find it quiter and easier to shoot. They have a feeding station at one end. Its a very small room at the back of the shop.

sounds rubbish compared to the London Butterfly House but alas that has had to relocate to Spalding in Lincs. Flash was allowed. London Zoo one is a waste of space by the way.

i got the manager's phone number..im hoping mayby we can work something out.going to ring him in a bit,in 1 week school holidays end..and if i go in week should be better like u said
do they alow flashes?
also is there a time limit to being there>?
did u go in there garden?

I think you can be in there as long as you want, the problem i had was the crowds of poeple as their is only 1 pathway in a U shape and every time you stop to take pics it holds everyone up. Dont think there is any time limit and you can use flash. I did have a look round the gardens but you cant go on the grass and must stay on the paths.
