Today was the first chance I've had to try for bird shots with the new 40D. I'll reposition and try to capture the red throat this weekend.

PHOTOBUCKET EMBEDDING IS DISABLED BY THIS MEMBER.

Great shot Ryan. I don't think you need to reposition. It's the angle of the sunlight that matters and all he has to do to get the red flash is turn his head. :)
