I am looking to get a used Bogon/Monfrotto 055xProb with a ball head, but have only found one on here and I got beaten to the punch.

I was searching around here and looked on eBay to find this...

What does everyone think about it?

This will have to support my 30D with the 70-200mm f/4L (Without tripod collar for now). And I want it to last so I don't have to replace it. Which is why I want to stick with Bogan, but if I can't find a used one before the end of this weekend (I need it for my honeymoon), I will have to go another way...

Thanks for the help. Any other ideas for a good set of legs and a ball head for under $200 is greatly appreciated.

I had a set of their CF 92 or 94 carbon fibre legs and they were very good value for the money. Mine came with a decent ballhead. CF really makes a difference if you're carry around. Check out the Manfrotto 488RC2 ballhead. i dunno if you can get both under $200 over there as I dfon't know prices. In the old days you could buy much cheaper on auction. Now the ebay store seems mainly Buy Now!

Here's a review I did ... was 994 model but I think it's the 94 and the second 4 means comes with a ballhead as a kit.

Cool. Thanks! We will see. I am still debating on just getting the 055xProB and the 488RC2 and sucking it up...

Its basically a Benro for all that means.

Benro/Amvona/Induro has a checkered history as does Amvona/Dynatran. You can search here and see much on both sides of those issues. Some love them and there are some very distressing failures as well.

I'd hold out for that 3021 tripod you were looking at. They come up for sale fairly often.

OK- I will hold out for that and see if it works out. If not, I will just wait until something does work out...
