I have a cheap little sansa mp3 player with a voice recorder. I taped my son singing a cute little song, and I want to make a movie using the sound clip, and photo's of him throughout this year, but the problem is, that I can't seem to get it onto my computer in a usable format. I can listen to it, using windows media player, when I look at the file preferences it says: type of file: Sound wave On my movie program I can use wma's is there a way to convert it? Does any of this make sense to anyone that is smarter than me????

If you right click the file and look at the properties file what does it say it is? It may still say 'Media File' or something of the sort. Click on the Change... Button and it should show you the extension of the file. Depending on what the file is you should be able to convert it to a usable format. What program are you using to try and make a movie with?

Thanks for your help, but I figured it out. I just had to pull up the file a different way. :)
