Hey Paulie,
I simply love the shot of the bear. Very good "pose" and expression there. The only thing that I'm really seeing (and this applies to both pictures really) is the yellows look a little over-saturated on my monitor. If you look at the rock behind the bear is pretty evident that the color is just a tad bit off there. This is just a suggestion based on the way I do things but I would go into Photoshop (or whatever software you use) and under Saturation I would bump the yellows just a bit into the red and then desaturated just a little bit.

The same thing applies to the elephant as well...looking at the grass it looks more yellow than green. Personally on the elephant I also find the background a bit distrating...especially the building or whatever that red thing is behind the elephant. Here I would have either gone with a really shallow DOF or simply just blur it out in PP. I also would have liked to have seen those wonderful ears out there instead of laying back...but that of course was up to the elephant :D.

Other than color adjustments and the background on the elephant, looks like you did a pretty good job. A little more PP and I think you have some nice shots there.

Peace,
Jim

My thoughts exactly Jim, but I thought I'd wait until you made your assessment of the zoo pics :)
