Me and a friend got together and took these shots. He was the guinea pig.

Steel Wool + Old USB cables + fire = FIREWIRE!!!! ( I had no idea that steel wool was flammable)

Fun stuff!

basically take an old wire of some sort (in this case, an old USB cable), tie a slip knot in the end of it and put a steel wool pad in the slip knot. Light the steel wool and just start swinging. Be careful though, the flaming chunks of steel wool can fly within a 35 foot radius.

while you're at it, drop some Mentos into a 2 liter of Diet Coke too....it shoots straight up in the air...

actualy I was using a tripod....with a remote shutter....

my friend was just moving around a lot while flinging the wire around

shutter speeds were like 4 seconds at the most....aperture was set somewhere between 22 and 26. If i remember correctly, i might have forgot to lower the iso.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p
