Barred Owls from yesterday..

This was by far the easiest yet most difficult outing. makes no sense does it, well let me explain. the difficult part was the fact that the Owls were in a very dark are with limited light which of course yielded very low shutter speeds. the EASY part was I had 3 yes 3 owls within a 25 foot radius of one another. I stepped out of my car, was setting up and not 30 feet away two of the three were fighting!. It was an awesome yet sad thing to watch. i had only limited time as fatherhood called and I had to go but here are two of the ones I like the best. I hope you enjoy them!

Both shots taken of the same subject I just changed to portrait for the second shot is all. Also both shots taken with the Canon 1Ds and 300 2.8 L IS + 2X at f5.6
ISO 400 with a shutter speed of 1/20th and 1/25th.
