Need Help With my Editing Program

I am currently using Digital Photo Professional to edit my photos for basic things like brightness, contrast and sharpness, but i have run into a problem. When I am using Digital Photo Professional I can see the changes in my pictures, but whenever i try to view them outside of the program or post them online they come up as the unedited photo. Is there a way to make my edited photos show up or is the program just that bad that I should go and buy photoshop?

Once you have edited them in DPP you need to convert them. In DPP you will be editing the RAW file, which you then should convert to a TIFF or JPEG for viewing elsewhere or further editing in other software. If you want to post online then converting to a JPEG is the better option. Once the photo is converted it will retain the changes you make and you will then have 2 instances of the photo on your hard drive - the RAW and the converted TIFF or JPEG.
