This was my first time seeing Jeremy Enigk, though I've been listening to his music for a little more than a decade. I shouldn't have waited so long.

This show with Jeremy Enigk and Damien Jurado was one of the most real performances that I can remember seeing, and it was kind of refreshing. One thing that impressed me about Enigk's set was that he just walked out on stage, plugged in his guitar, tuned his guitar, then played and sang. No long delays, no intro music, no gang of roadies.

Thanks for looking.

these are a bit darker than the Jurado shots; where's there is light, it's good, but there's a lot of darkness...did you try boosting 'fill light' in the RAW conversion?

shot #2 has the raccoon eyes that i'm constantly battling at one of the venues i shoot at...i guess the only fix is some fill flash. 5 through 8 are my pics; love the perspective in 7 (is there a balcony, or did you hand your camera to a nearby Kevin Garnett?).

did he play any SDRE stuff?

For the Jurado shots I took them all into photoshop and used the shadow/highlights tool and added some contrast with a luminosity mask...takes forever on my slow a** computer. I've never really liked the look of fill light in color shots, but you're right, these are probably a bit too contrasty. Maybe I'll work on these some more and try out zenfolio's new replacement feature. ;)
And yeah, the venue has a balcony over both sides and the back of the room.
He did play a good amount of SDRE stuff...In Circles, The Ocean, Guitar and Video Games. My wife has the setlist somewhere (she's a bit of a fan).

I went back and looked at the RAWs again. Originally I had the Fill Light slider at 12 on most of them, so I bumped it up to around 25. I also got all fancy and did a levels mask on 2 to bump up some of the shadows in the eyes.
Oh, and that replacement thing in zenfolio is pretty handy...I don't think it does batches though.

Yeah, if you want to replace an image with a new version, you just click on it and select replace. All the links and what not are preserved from the original image. I think they added it a few weeks ago, but hadn't had a need for it until now.
