Aye, this was an issue I had. If I had the exposure to high it was very noisy, shutter open much longer, it blew out the highlights. :(

Well thats no good. :( Is there a way to blend to images together? I have no idea how IR works, so I don't know if thats possible.

Possibly, would have just been the same way you normally blend images :)

All IR is is just a normal picture with a filter over the top, so what I could have done is taken the above then taken another on say double the exposure time, tripods and remote shutters ftw! :D

I'll try that next time and see how we get on :)

I find in cases like this (shooting IR) that sometimes a polarizer helps quite a bit, helps knock down some overly high areas. Worth a try!

Canon 5D Mark II
Canon 40D - Infrared Modified (www.lifepixel.com (external link))
Canon Lenses: 17-40, 24-105 f/4 IS, 100 2.8 IS Macro, TS-E 90, 70-200 f/4 IS, 100-400 IS
Canon EF25 II , EF 1.4x II
