I tried many times with curve adjustment in CS2, it's still an area where I have weakness in post. I am definitely printing this one as I believe it is a real keeper. Before printing I will apply USM etc.

Pat - Yeah, I didn't do any sharpening, which the shot can use.

FWIW, A fellow Fred Miranda member, Max Simbron, has posted an excellent discussion on how to use curves on his blog. You can view it here:

Dennis Thanks. I will take a look at the link later today. Right now I'm off to southpaw's game. Will post later if I get anything decent.

Guero - you weren't butting in, any feedback I get is appreciated.

One other thing - it's only critical when you need the full dynamic range of your camera, but avoid anything put full ISO stops. Canon camera's don't change sensitivity on the sensor at 1/3 ISO steps. EC works, since that modifies exposure time. (Noted as you were shooting ISO 160, which is ISO 200 compensated to ISO 160)

I don't know if the 30D has this option, but on the 40D you can set a CFn to do only full ISO steps (very useful IMO).

Taking this thread off in a totally different direction....what on earth is going on with that kid's pants? His crotch is drooped to his knees and his shirt is bunching out the back.

Looks like some kind of hip-hop pitcher.

You need to show that picture to the kid and ask him if he'd like some tailoring done.

HAHAHAH! Well, you see, this is exactly my problem. He is toooo skinny, and nothing fits properly on him.

My sister has the opposite problem with hers. I guess if I had to choose, it would be the skinny with drooping pants :D
