Hi all-
This is my first business card design and I was hoping for some feedback before I get them printed.
--Does the text color work with the background?
--Should I go with a different bg? I shoot sports and other stuff.
--What do you think of the text design? (A friend designed it)

Any other input would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Should I go with a different bg?

I don't see what it has to do with "sports and other stuff"?

What do you think of the text design?

The logo looks good, but I can't read your email very well. It should be spaced down a bit.

I would go with a shot of some action or something if you're a mainly a sports photographer.

It looks like you put a picture and threw some text and called it a business card....sorry. Doesn't look very professional too me.

I would throw both designs away and start from scratch. Your card MUST be quick and easy to read.

Your choice n backgrounds does not work here, neither do the colours. Find some way of separating the text from the background. Possibly a text placeholder of some sort.

Also get a professional looking mail address. info@gmail.com (external link) or photo@hotmail.com (external link) looks really tacky and no really high end.

what about this one?

If you used that, I'd crop from the left to the elbow, & move the logo to the dead space at the right of it.

The business card is way too busy for me. I'm not sure I like the blue font on there, it looks a bit out of place on that card, as well as your email being too hard to read. Perhaps put a nice stroke edge on the font to help it stand out more?

Sorry about this...but I have to go with Mike on this one. Take a look at the "show us your business cards" thread and see what people are using there. It may help you.

Also, I'm not a fan at all of images on a business card.

I don't like the letter design and I would maybe go for a elegant b&w photo as a background, that is less distracting.

Hey! Someone mentioned this to me as well... They prefer Black and White for a business card. How about beige or neutral colors (white, bone, or tan)??

How about a blk or white images??

C&C all you want!!

ps....I am still in school for photography and my love or speciality is Portrait Photography. Until I get more equipment (or a studio) and experience, I won't put that on the card....

If you're going to use a photo as the basis of the card I suggest you set it in the background - make it like a watermark so it doesn't dominate and you can easily read your name and contact details.
