My best so far (House Finch ?)

I have seen some of the other House Finch shots in this forum, but this bird seems especially colorful. Could it be a Purple Finch, instead of a House Finch ?
Anyway, I'm glad that he stopped in my yard.

My bird reference books said that they could be rather aggressive birds, and in numbers, can take-over the feeder !
So far, I've only seen this one bird, and he seems very well behaved.

That's a good picture, but the really green leaves are somewhat distracting.

Nice shot. I'm pretty sure this is a House Finch in breeding colors. The Purple finch has some brown looking patches on his cheeks that are easy to see and he has red covering more of the body.
