Numbering images from 3 cameras

I recently went from an XT to a XTi and also have a A590IS. The XT images are numbered IMG_00001 to IMG_14500. I no longer have the XT. The XTi images are numbered IMG_0001 to IMG_0250 (as of now). The 590 images are numbered IMG_0001 to IMG_0500 (as of now). Looking for suggestions for labeling these images so that there are no duplicates or I don't accidently replace one with another? I am thinking that I should leave the 14,500 images alone and use something different with the two cameras with the lowest number of images.
