Taken with Canon 400D and 18-55mm kit lens at f/5.6, ISO 100 and 1/200 sec.
Relative newie to DSLRs so criticise as much as poss

Jun 01, 2008 08:37 | #4 I used a low apperture as i was trying to create an effect of having the dragon fly in focus only. This is because it was taken in my garden and the background isn't that asthaetically pleasing (Wall and soil!) Gear

Try a sharpening mask on the body of the damsel fly (it's not a dragon) and that will clear up the softness. Nice pic! No-Excuses Kit: 1Ds Mk III, 1D Mk IV, 60D (IR Only).
