When I press the shutter, I can hear a noise inside the lens ( USM?), and it continues until the shutter is released. Is there something wrong or is it normal?

Thank you for the replies. This puts my mind more at ease. I was worried, bec the noise coming out of the 70-200 is much louder than my 24-105. 30D . Speedlite 580EX. 50 1.4, 100 2.8, 24-105L, 70-200 4.0L, 70-200 2.8IS L.
