5D Firmware Freeze

I posted this on Photonet so please forgive me but I'm a bit desperate:

While installing the 1.1.1 fw update the camera froze at 99% complete. It stayed that way for a few hours until the power died. Now the camera won't boot. Anyone know any hard reset button combo or software tricks that might allow me to reinstall the firmware before I send the body back to Canon?

Thanks,
Joe

Try removing the batteries including the backup battery and leave it for 30min then reboot.

I'm guessing that if it froze during the firmware update, a trip back to Canon is going to be needed. Firmware is the nuts and bolts that make this beast work. Without it you have nothing.

Ouch, if it froze while updating the firmware you have nothing to boot (thus your problem). Its going to have to go to canon.
