Ok I am looking at either buying the B&H HOYA introductory filter kit
http://www.bhphotovideo.com …roductory_Filter_Kit.html (external link)

for the approx $100

vs just getting a single HOYA polarizing for trip to Alaska and other outdoor shots
http://www.bhphotovideo.com …cular_Polarizer_HMC_.html (external link)

is there a perceptible difference TO ME ( a very new SLR shooter) is there an advantage to the kit other than the UV that I can use as a lens protector?

Also working on a deal with another user here for a cheaper (sub-100) polarized alone.

I'm not married to HOYA I could do B&W as well, just started down the HOYA line b/c of the intro kit and the deal with another poster.

retailer recommended in another post has this "kit" avail it's UV/CPL with B&W MRC

Thoughts and advise please

You don't need that warming filter. That's for film.

i'd go w/ the HMC or some sort of multi-coated filter (UV or CPL)
