Nice weather is upon us now and so out comes the kayakers. However these were shot in the most horrible lighting conditions.

I think you did a great job here. Nice perspective and even though the lighting was harsh, you made the best of it.

Good job.

These are very nice. Would you post your EXIF, I would be interested to see what the settings were. They are sharp as can be!

Thanks for sharing.

^^
Well these were done with Save for Web, so they didn't have the exif data intact. The ones I put on Flickr have the EXIF data intact.

Also the ones I put on Flickr exceed the max width and height dimensions allowed by forum rules. I tend to put the smaller version that I post here on my personal website.

Absolutely beautiful! Unfortunately for me, the two canoe/kayak races in my area happen in April, and therefore there is still snow and the conditions are quite gray/dark. Not to mention I'm freezing while shooting.

Case in point....

Now that looks like bad conditions for shooting let alone kayaking.

Not a problem. Great for keeping the files a bit smaller.

these are not horrible lighting conditions. I think horrible lighting conditions would be if you did this at night with no moon and no spotlights :-P
