I finally outgrew the smallish camera bag that I had. It would fit the XTi with two lenses and charger but the Speedlite won't fit.

I was trying to decide between a bag and a backpack. Hoping to stay in the low range ($50 and below).

It seems the bag would be easier to get in / out without having to put it on the ground while backpack is obviously easier to carry while walking around.

After giving it some thought, though, I realized that I am very unlikely to walk around with all gear on vacation - just a camera and two lenses that may fit in a regular padded backpack.

I decided to go with Canon 200DG bag that would cost just over $30 shipped from Amazon. Before I place an order, though, would like to hear from people on this forum - does anybody have this bag and what's good / bad about it ? Seems like a pretty decent travel / storage solution.

EDIT: Got it for $28 & free shipping - seems like a very decent deal seeing how people sell used ones on eBay for $30+.

Nice little bag, but you'll probably upgrade soon. The canon bag isn't built as well as some of the others, the zipper to the main compartment on mine started to give way after about 6 months. And for me personally, theres not really any room to carry anything else but your gear. But, for $30 you can't beat it.

Did you have the same bag ? This one doesn't have zipper, I believe, the main compartment cover is held in place by two "buckles" + velcro. It's also - supposedly - rather large. Well, I'll see in a few days !
