Well I spent Saturday at Croft in tropical conditions for the qualifying and a few races, I decided to give Sunday a miss which after having watched the racing on TV seemed to have been the right plan.

Here are a selection of photos all taken with a Canon 1D MKIII and Canon 300mm f2.8 lens and possible 1.4 and 2x convertors

1.
Andrew Jordan, I just like this one as I think it's a very photogenic car

2.
Michael Caine overcooking it into the complex

3.
No matter how many times the marshalls replaced the floppy barriers somebody took them out straight away, here's Plato complete with flying floppy

4.
Josh Hill pushing hard into Clervaux and losing some fuel in the process, actually had a chat with his dad on Saturday, really nice bloke.

5.
Robert Gaffney having had the bonnet fly open on the opening lap of practice he seemed to be having trouble seeing and gave it a bit of opposite lock into the complex

6.
A gaggle of Ginettas stream into Clervaux with the team mechanics in the background.

7.
Plato kerb hopping at Hawthorn

8.
One of the drives of the weekend, local lad Robert Lawson only did about 4 laps in qualifying, put it on pole and then won the race

Nice set. Actually in no. 6 it's the Formula Renault drivers in the background, waiting for their qualifying.

Nice pics Ian, did you get any of the formula renaults? i think they are the fastest by a long shot on the touring cars day..

Last year the GFs son got to sit in the winning car from Team Scorpio they did not do too well this year though as have changed there drivers.

Really superb shots as usual Ian. The Ginetta shot does it for me, and the last couple of SEATs are attention grabbers.

John.

The Ginetta losing fuel is really sharp, and the yellow Seat in the last couple really good.
I am tempted to say having to use the converters is a shame because the sharpness has suffered as a result.

Lovely shots as usual Ian.

I agree with you about the Integra although Jordan Snr had some very fetching pink decals on it this weekend courtesy of Alan "Safety Car" Gow :D
