I finally got around to buying one of these things. These things are like magic. I always obsess about cleaning my lenses & filters. My B+W CPL is particularly hard to get clean. There always seems to be a tiny smudge or two that I can’t get off. It seems like the effort to get rid of one, creates another one somewhere else.

Even though I know these minor smudges have no real effect on performance, they drive me nuts.

Well, 60 seconds with the lens pen & the CPL is spotless. Amazing

Just wanted to share. If you don’t have one of these, get one today.

I am the same way! I spent a lot of money on this stuff and I intend to keep it in perfect condition! The lenspen is IMO the best optic cleaning device out there for cameras!

What brand lens pens is the best? Or does it really matter?

It doesn't really matter. I think they're all the same but branded differently

The different Lens Pens are by sizes. I bought the Lenspen ProPak II. It comes with almost all the sizes they offer in one pack. http://www.bhphotovideo.com …Pak_II_Cleaning_Kit_.html (external link)

For $5, I think I have one in every camera bag and seem to always have one in my pocket. I have no idea how many I've bought and lost over the years, but I probably own serious stock in the company

Those things look nice and handy - I personally don't clean my lens until I get home, then I use a bulb blower and microfiber cloth.

I have one but never use it. It seems to be a cup of rubber with a brush on the other end. Is that what it is?

Just make sure you get the sensor pen for the sensor, don't use the lens pen!

Mainly don't use the same pen for both lens and sensor. Plenty of people have used LensPens, not the dedicated SensorKlear, on their sensors, trimming the pad to reach the corners of the sensor.

I have a quick question. I have 2 lens pens, one for each camera. on my last lenspen purchase, I bought a bundle that came with the lenspen, and a lenspen that's advertised for lcd display cleaning. it looks nearly identical except that the cleaning bad is sort of shield shaped with 3 pointed ends. Is there any difference between this and the regular lenspen as far as the cleaning compound inside of them?

I keep protectors on my camera LCD displays, so there's no point for me to use it for the LCD.....however, if they are exactly the same, then I have a third pen for my lenses and filters :-)

I'm pretty sure all Lenspen products are the same, just different sizes and shapes.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

AFAIK everything they make (with the pads) uses the same compound.
