Use all of your mental powers to ignore it and it might go away.

I don't mean to be an ass, just that I've never read of anyone being successful in getting much out. My new 5D came with a tiny hair in it and I've learned to deal as it gathers more as no amount of rocket blower wrestling would dislodge it.

gotta agree.....
I have some dust in the Viewfinder on my 5D and after several attempts
to return it to that sparkling clean state of newness, I've given up and learned to live with it.
its not worth screwing the camera up over.
if it really bothers you.....ship it back to canon for a cleaning.(at your expense of course)

Maybe it's hair on the viewfinder, not on the focusing screen... ;)

When my viewfinder got dirty, I used a small brush to get it out.

Exactly what I did and Canon cleaned the camera (including the sensor) and fitted a new SI plate for free (it was still under warrenty however).
