I have 3 questions.

I have a 430ex flash and a 540ex I want to use them on stands?

Will the 540ex work with this?

If I run these flashes what will I need for the wiring, stands and mounts?

Is there an alternative in brand to the Pocket Wizard? Little pricy!

1. There is no such thing as a Canon 540EX Speedlite. They made a 540EZ, which is not compatible with digital cameras but could be used off-camera in manual mode, triggered a number of ways.

2. There are various ways to trigger off-camera flash units. Your options are here:

You'll need light stands, swivel brackets (umbrella brackets), and probably umbrellas. Lots of options.

3. A good alternative to PocketWizards is the Elinchrom EL-Skyport Universal set. Available at the usual online retailers. Be sure you get the universal receivers. Search this forum for "Skyport" for threads about them.

Curtis,
If I were you, I'd attach images into my tutorials so they look more convenient when you're talking about certain thing, and then I'd publish those tutorials into my own website.

Believe me mate, you'll have thousands of hits in your website every month.

Thanks, Khaled.
Maybe I'll do like Jason Cole and put out a DVD.
;)

Sell them for good price, and I will be the first to buy those DVDs :)
