I really like the last shot. I love flowers. Keep shooting. Practice, practice, practice...that's what I do.

i like 3
2 looks like it would benefit from being brightened a bit.
1 is an interesting texture study, but there's something lacking in it - maybe do some post processing to make it more abstract?

#2 and #3 look underexposed to me. The last one is very nice IMO. Well done.

i agree, 2 looks like it is too far underexposed. you could also monochrome mix it to bw to add a little more atmosphere to it.

3 is nice, and i love the flower shot.

#1...i think if you had an object close by with everything in focus, including the background, the picture would work better. i agree that something is missing though.

i actually like the underexposure of 3...perhaps a little touch up of the sky is in order though, and bringing out some of the shadows in the vehaicle. would make a good HDR if exposure bracketed.

I agree with Flo, I really like #4 the best as well, although I find myself looking to the far left of the picture trying to figure out what is there! Nice shot! Keep posting....

i really enjoye the last one. All in all your picture looks good for being a newbe. The best thing to do is practice, practice, & practice. Also try reading up on photography that has helped me out a bunch.

Not a pro by any means.. Just enjoy taking pics.

Thank you guys sooo much for your input! On #2 I notice the exposure now, I actually darkened it up from the original shot, now I see I did too much! I dont have photoshop...yet, next purchase. So Ive been using Canon's editor.
And with #4....isnt the never ending Train tracks a cool idea?? haha! jk! Thats why Im really looking fwd to getting into Portraits so I can put a face in front of these backgrounds! Oh and I found out how to turn on Image editing so feel free to improve any of my shots if you feel like it. Thanks again!

Nice shots...I've seen them on your flickr account. Loved the dog...hehe...precious.

As for programs, didn't you get Photoshop Elements, or something, with the cam? Maybe check Canon's site, for a download...if they have one?
