Hey mates,

Now i reached my final decision and decided that i will go with 2 ballheads and maybe 2 L-plates.

Now for the ballheads, I decided to get Markins Q3 for my 1-series tripod and RRS ballhead for my 5-series pod, but i want to use RRS clamps and plates instead of Markins, but i saw Q3 with Markins plate or clamp, where i can get Q3 with that clamp so i can attach RRS clamp with it?
I am confusing between BH-40 or BH-55 for my 5 series tripod but i am leaning towards 55 more, i am not thinking about Arca-Swiss or Kirk even they both are great brands as well, and i am using those ballheads and accessories for gear light i mean less than or up to 300 f2.8L with any body, and another head for heavy longer glasses later.

Now for L-plates, i like to shoot landscapes very much and that i will change orientation a lot between landscape and portrait, so i feel that L-bracket is more useful and practical for me than normal plates, but the problem is: should i get more than one L-bracket plate? the most bodies i will use for landscape will be 5D, 1Ds2, and 1Ds3 later i hope, so all are with different L-plates and i can't decide really which body i will use more, but it seems i am depending more on 1-series bodies these days and when i will get 1Ds3 then my 5D will be rarely in use then, so should i think for the future or get 2 plates for now and later i get one more?

OH MY, this gonna be so endless long time to be sure on stuff, i welcome all recommendations but i hope it is not just each personal recommendations, all will have positive different recommendation which will make it more confusing to go with whom.

To confuse you some more, have you seen the Markins Q3TR? It seems to fit the 1 Series perfectly. http://www.dchome.net …tid=507727&extra=page%3D1 (external link)

Thank you very much for the link :D
In fact you didn't confuse me, instead you helped me, i think i will think about this head instead of Q3, but 2 things in my mind: What s the price of this ballhead? and where i can buy it? I hope the store is trustworthy and not spam or so.

But still i am confusing with the ballhead for my 5-series ;)

You can order the ballhead from Markins without the Markins clamp...then all you'd need to do is order the appropriate clamp from RRS and install that instead.

The only way to get the Gitzo leather case is buy one of the 390 available (probably less at this point) GT90TT. If you are interested take a look at this link: http://titanium.gitzo.com/home.html (external link)

Accessory

If you plan on carrying your cameras/lenses on your tripod head (which I normally do) then the Kirk ASC Ball Head collar will take strain off the ballhead and keep the camera upright while being carried.

Why i see only M10 and M20 can be sold without clamps and Q3 can'tbe sold without clamps? or can you link me to Q3 without clamp?

I don't want to get that Titanium one, i think i don't want that case now, can't dump thousands on a tripod even it is worthy to get that adorable case.
