Hey Birthday Boy....

Had a good day? huh?

What did you get huh huh huh????

Texting well, I dunno...I guess it's a faster convo and not committed to a long convo..so I enjoy texting....but I do like to talk too :-)

I received a marvelous gift package from a few of the forum members. I don't want to go into any detail, but they were really lovely, thoughtful gifts, and I love them all. Another great surprise was the number of good wishes I received on the forum today. Who would not feel special after all that attention? That absolutely made this birthday memorable. I really didn't 'get' anything from Lois. We decided a while back to forego exchanging birthday gifts this year, although she did get the new purse, and I got the iPhone. Besides, I don't need a blessed thing, and spending any more money right now would not feel particularly good.

A friend of ours has the same birthday, so we always send her flowers, and she always send me something cute. They just returned from an Alaskan cruise, so she picked up an engineer's cap and a wooden whistle from the White Pass and Yukon Railroad. I'll be the belle of the ball with that hat on. I can blow the whistle just to make sure everyone notices.:lol:

It really has been a great birthday.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I left out something very important!!

I stopped at Samy's camera store and picked up a used 50mm f/1.8 II. It was about half the price of a new one. I'm going to stick it on my 10D just to make it look like a real camera while it sits on the shelf.

Yes Jared, you will..I know you will.

I have a "wants" list so long, I've been watching a few forums used threads...

Not that I will buy anything but, you never know if a good thing comes around
