I don't understand it. I have a small, but active fan club that knows how to get things stirred up. I even got a birthday thread on IPF, and all I do there is contribute smartass remarks.

I'm still tired, and it seems the more tired I am the sillier I am, so before long it's sleep time again. Besides it's the weekend tomorrow and my husband will want me all fresh and rested so I can start pounding nails and painting again. UGH!

Interesting call from my sister today....

She's actually a couple years older than I am, and she just got married to a very nice fellow she met through church. She was a widow, and he was a widower, but it seems to be much more than a marriage of convenience. They really seem to be enjoying each other.

Anyway, They're Mormons, and recently moved to Salt Lake City to work in the genealogy research department of the Church (sorry, I don't know the proper names). Anyway, they found out her husband is a retired wedding photographer, so they transferred them to a differenct department in the organization, and he is now their official photographer for a book they put out each year. I have no idea what it is, but I thought it was kinda' neat that he fell into a job he's ideally suited for. My sister is happy just to be with him.

It's a great world sometimes.

Hmm mI restarted, not sure why this is not reading my jpg files as valid, but they are also not uploading to Pbase, so, hmmm...I wonder if Gimp did something funny to them? No clue

I'll have to work on it on Monday, I've got a way too busy weekend..

It is a great world! That is really wonderful, good for them! My dad passed away 29 years ago today, and my mom never found anyone she felt she could love enough to spend her life with. She's lonely a lot of the time and I wish she had someone that made her happy. We keep her pretty busy and entertained though.

My parents weren't particularly young when they married. I think Dad was 28, and Mom was 22. If Dad had lived two more months, they would have been married 70 years. He was 98 when he died, and she went just a couple years later.

I don't know how you can plan something like that, but I sure hope we take after them. If I live to be 98 (unlikely) and lois is still alive (likely), we'll have been married 79 years.
