Oooooh, Detroit. I've never been there.

Have a safe trip, Chris.

When I say "Detroit," I actually mean Farmington Hills, a suburb of Detroit. I think I've actually been into Detroit proper only a handful of times. There's supposed to be a nice riverwalk area there, but I'm not driving through the bad parts of Detroit for that.

The nice thing about where we live is that we're halfway between both coasts of Michigan. Detroit is a little over an hour and the communities on Lake Michigan are about the same distance. It's nice.

I have a friend who is going to todays Cardinals game.

She says shes gonna bum rush Alber Pujols.

I told her to at least bring me back some dirt from the field....even if it is on the her clothes after she gets tackled by the cops:D

my sons jersey has his name on it, guess I need to take a good look at him eh?

I'm not into baseball to watch 9 innings of it. I'll be sure to have my camera and take pics

WHAT! Baseball is a great sport. Its completely different watching it on tv than it is in person.

Its not just sitting in the stands to watch the game but to also be with family friends and just chit chat about things. Good place to just shoot the sh*t and watch a game at the same time. To feel the rays of the sun, slight breez, smell of hotdogs, fresh cut grass, everything.

Certainly a good experience.:D

Yes Pujols is someone to watch, one of the greats in the game today.

Yikes....notes taken....except I am going with two die hard baseball fans who talk about every hit, move, jump, catch and throw they make/

ex: Did you see his arm position?, Look at the extension he is getting on leg at that pitch, Did you see how he moved out to steal that base, What about those mechanics, huh? UGH

We had a grand time at the POTN Mount Vernon Meet this morning...had a few sprinkles but no real rain. There were six of us there: Ron (Rhilton4u), Suzy, Jon, Doug (my friend who has just joined POTN), and Kent (krb) who arrived after Ron's wife made the shot below using my 5D. I also caught a good shot of one of the many actors who are on the grounds to answer questions about the timeframe.

Wow, that was quick. Every time I see myself, I just want to say, "Hold that, let me photoshop about 40 pounds off first!" But the photo is good. We had so much fun. I love being with the guys and it was great to have Ron's wife there. :) We were all sporting our gear and had a nice talk in the food court. Let's do this more often.

I don't think you like like you need to lose 40 lbs. Suzie.

I lost mine in 20 lb. goals and still am working on the lat one! Definitely the hardest, too. It doesn't want to go as readily.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

No one mentioned Star Wars Episodes I, II, III? Good. :)

If you mean the first 3, they were IV, V, and VI. The prequels met with slightly less acclaim, IIRC.

Speak for yourself, Tom. And I think we could get enough of a quorum to vote on a banning if you persist in the request. :{)#
