I'm addicted to my camera. I'm in the purchase everything phase but I'm looking to make a little back.

I'll appreciate any advice on generating some revenue. I'm not yet looking to start a business as I don't think I'm good enough yet. I just want the camera to start earning it's keep.

Thanks!

You could take pics of your toes & sell them to a fetish site? ;)

Really, without knowing what you like to shoot & how good at it you are, how would we know what to suggest?

Amen, brother PhotosGuy!

When I first started out, I was doing landscapes and stuff, along with working for a few bands. I would make greeting cards out of the landscape pictures and sell them at craft shows. It wasn't a lot of money, but it was something.

It's not the camera you use, it's how you use it!

hmmm cool, well, that's something that can be expanded on ie calendars, etc. There is the obvious wedding shoots but I wouldn't think about doing that until I've got a few years undr my belt. Dont want that responsibility just yet.

What about in home photoshoots, headshots and various packages? I'd bring my camera, lights and backdrops. What kinds of price would people pay for that? (average)?

Great links...thanks, especially this one...How to sell unsolicited photos to parents?

I like that idea but wouldn't you need a stack of model releases?

Not for selling prints to parents. If you wanted them for commercial use, then yes, you need an MR.
You may want to check out highschoolsports.net. Last few times I shot a high school game, I uploaded my shots to their bleachers site.. you get a decent amount per sale, and the schools get a cut, so it's a win-win. Actually got a decent amount of sales from it too. Certainly helps if you're in an area with deep pockets =)
