We had the lights in the umbrella set up with optical slaves. Folks would come up behind us with their P&S and of course their flash set off ours. They kept trying to figure out what was wrong with their cameras because it blew out the pictures. We tried to explain it with each family...however, a few would get in and of course take their shot just as we were ready to shoot. We would have to wait a couple of seconds for the flashes to regenerate and of course reposition the cow or whistle at her to get her to perk up her ears. Yeah - it's all the P&S people firing off my slaves that accelerated my move to an ST-E2. I keep a couple of digital-slaved Vivitars for backlights and to blow out their shots though, if they try shooting before I'm done :{)# misspix wrote in post #5728178 *random complaint* It would be nice if event coordinators consulted with photographers regarding background crap and tacky orange fencing ![]() They provide us with the munificent remuneration to cope with that stuff. Can't make bricks without straw though. You had the shot. She just gussied it up some. thomascanty wrote in post #5736524 Don't use up all the exclamation points, Wool... Jennifer needs 'em... Yeah. About that. Pekka's getting concerned about all the 0x21 characters getting used and is planning to put an 8-bang limit per post, same as with pictures. Woolburr wrote in post #5736528 I tried to be selective...so she has plenty to operate with. This being my third session on several computers in the catch-up process (what a chatty bunch! Looks like Terri's going to grab Wool's title next year), I know I'm missing a bunch of stuff. Jon

ASCII printable characters. Or, in this case, the exclamation points we were talking about because Jen tends to use 'em all up and the forum is running out. (In other words, we're just kidding...) My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.
