Yep. Also have a SteriPen and a Kataydin water filter, but according to the map the Post ran this morning, I'm not in the affected area (external link). I'm gonna keep treating the water for a while though.

I am not too worried on this one although I did brew my coffee with bottled water. It sounds like the total cover our ass just in case plan. I grew up on D.C. water a little bacteria won't hurt me

My Katadyn filter (external link) is so old it still says "PUR" on it where the brand name goes. Still works like a champ, though...

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

Good to know . . . One or the other tends to want to go with me up on the trails.

No we have had 4 major water main breaks since Sunday including a 48" line. Two hospitals are dry and required the fire department to hook tanker trucks to them to provide water and pressure. They announced a precautionary boil water alert. The sad thing is the water company has no water quality test results until tonight from Sundays break:roll: So instead of risking something they have told everyone to boil and shut down countless restaurants and businesses for untold amounts of economic loss because they are too freaking lame to expedite a water test, pitiful.

In fairness they may need time to see if anything develops but I am giving them benefit of the doubt. The spokesperson this morning was doing a lot of double speak.
I am off again, later folks.

No idea. It was only POTN. Everything else was fine. It just told me server not available. I was getting the cold sweats.

Cat, it could have been that your account was damaged in the server reset as explained in this thread --> https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=521184

I never heard about those water troubles in your area Zane...then again, I don't really watch the news as often as I should to be up to date with what's going on.
