Hello all, not caught up and not squished.

My oldest son Adam was seriously hurt in a logging accident this morning. He is being transported from Roseburg to Portland for surgery on a broken vertebra that if successful, he will be able to continue to walk.
I am completely devastated and trying to be strong for my strong boy. Any and all positive thoughts would be welcomed. I am reminding myself that he is a survivor and has overcome many challenges in his life and this is just one more to show how strong he is.
I will be traveling to be with him and his fiance and without a computer for I have no idea how long.
~Terri

Shocking! I hope he makes a 100% recovery. I'm sure you'll pass on all our best wishes from the looney farm on to him. I am sure being a young spring chicken, he'll be able to recover very fast from it. Here's to looking positive throughout it all.

anyone in here buy from sigma4less.com? Thoughts on them? Are they selling USA vs Grey market lenses? Is there such a thing for SIGMA?

I'm considering the sigma 10-20 as I have been pining for a wide angle for some time. I want to get one before the Yellowstone trip in late August. Trying to find the best retail price and weigh that against going for a used one.

Absolutely, wouldn't have it any other way...

sick, twisted, dry humour at it's best. You can blame the likes of Blackadder & Monty Python for that.

you ever just crack up about things? There's a thread out there with Poughkeepsie in the title. Now I'm not in so remote a location that I've never heard of it before but I've NEVER seen it spelled out..and then it hit me...WHO WOULD NAME A TOWN THIS?? Literally, think about the name? I KNOW it's not pronounced like it's spelled but holy moo...it cracked me up...

I also realized just now that it's probably posts like that (among other things) that keep me at my level of "no respect" around here
