Hey, Pete. How are things on your side of the pond these days? Weather nice? Are you all set on the wedding plans?

Yeah. The wedding plans are coming together. Ali and I are trying to decide what to do for our hen and stag does.

I need to sort out hiring suits (we've decided on suits, just need to get them sized and hired). We're also sorting out the wording for the service itself (she'll be obeying me, obviously!!)

Weather today is a bit hit and miss. Some sunshine, but heavy clouds scudding overhead.

I think more likely she'll be bringing Cat's fish to the ceremony.:p

Now I have to find a translation on "Hen and Stag does" and "Hiring Suits".

Hope you have a tolerable day. I've got over an hour before I have to leave.

Tuesdays and Thursdays aren't so bad, comparatively. Hey, it's a job, right?

G'MAE.

I'm not squished. I've been working and playing with Spore Creature Creator. Ohh, and I found a great book on restoring and retouching photos (external link) ... I read the sample chapter. I like her approach. Book gets good reviews on Amazon. should be on my doorstep by Monday.

I'm afraid I made a mistake by getting a lot done yesterday. This afternoon may be a real dragger...wish I could start vacation the minute I send out the final report today.

*heavy sigh*

My guesses were pretty close, was thinking more bridal shower than bachlorett party for the Hen thing.

*impressed with self given the caffine hasn't had time to kick in*

OK, computer shopping is completely foreign to me. This is what I want to be able to do, so what features do I look for to accomplish the tasks?

First of all, it needs to be a laptop.

Want enough power to work on pictures without lag time between processes.

A screen that will give me some true images, is that possible on a laptop?

Enough memory to have LR and imaging software such as PSP as well as Office software.

Wireless options, more than one USB, though I think these are beginning to be a standard.

Thanks for the help. Oh, and though I know Apple is great for the arts, it wouldn't be compatible with the rest of our network, so it will have to be PC.
