I realized that, but there are a few 'well aged' folks on here, well beyond TD's age. :D

I think I fit that category... Except instead of aging like a fine wine, I aged like milk.

well, seems everyone knew what Tevas were but me. *feeling sheepish*

I didn't...

This from a native of Santa Cruz, where the mascot of the University of California campus is the Banana Slug?

Unfortunately, no one in my store has a sense of humor. Everyone is uptight and edgy. Makes for long days.

One of the members of our club is a former produce worker and now a checker at Albertson's. We never see him and when we do he's usually stressed..

G'MAE.

I'm not squished. I've been working and playing with Spore Creature Creator. Ohh, and I found a great book on restoring and retouching photos (external link) ... I read the sample chapter. I like her approach. Book gets good reviews on Amazon. should be on my doorstep by Monday.

I've got it. It's a great book...

Hey guys... Something Wool and I' have dreamt up together.

JPG July. It's where you shoot JPG for a month and not raw. Be brave and make the switch. See my sig line for details.

Sorry, can't do it... I've already shot in RAW this month. Sounds like an interesting idea though.

I haven't started processing yet, but I think the IR worked great. I sure hope so, anyway. I have over 700 pictures from the trip to work through, and about half of them were with the 10D.

Working with the 10D and 40D side-by-side made me realize just how technologically advanced our cameras have become in only five years. It's amazing to see the differences when you're forced to work with the old and the new at the same time. There is one area where the 10D really shines over anything I've used since then, though. It has one very sweet shutter sound! It's so whisper quiet. Shhhhk. The 20D was more like a CLACK-CLACK. The 40D is quieter than the 20D, but no where near as nice as the 10D.

I have the D60, 20D and 40D and they are the same way. The shutter in the D60 sounds positively silky and the 20D sounds like a jack hammer. The 40D is somewhat better...

Hey, John... I saw a post from you a couple days ago where you said you couldn't use CS2 any more because you have a 40D now. Did anyone set you straight about that already? I've used CS2 to process the RAW shots of the few 40D pics I've posted so far. It is possible. You just have to jump through an extra hoop...

It has taken me three tries to order up a report I screwed up yesterday.

And I keep screwing up the order, thus the 3 tries.

Nice Macros Deb.

Cat - I'll have to compare the Inspiron with the Studio that I was looking at this morning.

That's not just any dog... It's my dog! Her name is Minnie.

I kept seeing flashes of light off to the west as I drove home from Mojave to Palmdale last night. I think it was heat lightning, but I'm not sure. It never would happen while I was looking in that direction. I only caught it out of the corner of my eye, in my peripheral vision.

I've seen heat lightning before, back in 1982 while I was in the Navy, on a ship off shore from El Salvador. I think the conditions here are right for it, now.

I knew that, I just thought it was funny to see Minnie doing the same pose, that's all. :)

well, she clearly has dodgy brake pads around her ankles making a noise like that when stopping. Added to that with the "laying tracks" means she'll have to do a lot of housework cleaning up her mess on her return ;);)

Purple is better.:p

If you are a dragon, it is. ;)

Becky, how come you don't seem very excited about taking a holiday? I would be jumping and spinning and talking fast and loudly if it was me. ;) :p
I sure hope you manage to have too much fun. :D

Deb, Mike, nice macros. :D
