Spazgul have are a motorcycle gang?!?

Yeah. I'm terrible at drawing horses, so I thought I'd go with the "Iron Horse" motif instead.

G'mae all. Getting started here with a sick kid :( he was supposed to go on an ice skating trip with camp but has been up all night vomiting and such...yay.

It could've been worse.... he could've puked on the ice rink... Still... that might've kinda cool...

Mgdh wrote in post #5891484 (external link)
Thanks, Jim. Yes, his legs are doing fairly well since the Botox injections last month. He has a lot more flexibility in his heels etc - now it's a case of making sure that he exercises them - 14 miles should do that nicely. They do have checkpoints all along the route so if anyone can't manage it, they can be taken back to the campsite.

Is there a checkpoint after 100 yards or so? That's when I would need that trip back....

BearLeeAlive wrote in post #5891562 (external link)
I've done a few 14 mile hikes with a full pack on my back with a weeks gear, though this was many, many years ago. Two summers ago, I did just over 10 miles with a full pack (and camera gear) with lots of elevation gain, and it almost killed me. :D

I think I pulled a muscle just reading that.

Went out early this morning to catch the sunrise at the Oregon Dunes.... Very pretty out there, hopefully some of the shots will represent that.... Lisa's shots were very nice.

G'MAE, All.

I tend to ramble. Feel free to put me on ignore.

A little late but here is another Firework shot and more can be seen in THIS GALLERY (external link). I got a wild hair and did some editing tonight.

Watch those wild hairs, Jamie :) They can lead to trouble sometimes!

Something else from the 4th. More my style ;) A few more HERE.

Nice again!

Has anyone noticed that it is just us guys tonight. All the girls seem to have disappeared. Of course Cat, Lisa and Becky are away but where are the rest of the gurls?

People to see, things to do....I am creating a life over here, lmao!

What a coincidence. I just got the couch bug. In about a year's time, I'll be doing some serious sitting with the occasional eating. If I practice enough, make certain sacrifices, maybe employ a trainer/coach, I'll try for the Winter Olympics in 2012. Maybe do the Couch Pentathalon

-sitting
-remote surfing
-scarfing microwaved foods
-snoring
-reduced metabolism relay

Burgers and Beer Chugging are a part of the Couch Decathalon. That's just more of a serious training regimen that I want to take. Besides, if I start seriously training in Burgers and Beer, it might take the fun out of it. I'd hate to see that happen.

That's great Terri, it is a very rewarding way to get exercise, and a lot better than walking flat walks or treadmills. :D

You'd commute up here just to hike with Terri? Wow, that's dedication.

I've been toying with the idea of picking up a bicycle again to get some excercise. I really liked riding years ago, but where we live now, there's not a lot of good biking areas.

Interestingly, last night. I had a dream I chained my bicycle to the top of a snow cone stand, thinking it would be safe. I came back to find the chain cut through and pieces of the bike missing.

Can't wait until the kiddo can fit into a helmet. Then I can strap him to the back of my bike and go.

Why wait? Just wrap him in bubble wrap, or, better yet, just bungee cord him to the front fender. What a conversation piece that would be!

So what are the other 8 events?

Speed dialling (the pizza delivery service)?
The beer-can toss
The loo run
burp-a-rama

Ooo, those are good, too. One of the events should be changing out of your work clothes and into some grubbies.

I can't download my shots onto the laptop, so I'm holding the Epson P4000 up to the screen so you guys can see some of the shots. I'll start with this one from last night.
