Or am I completely the wrong side of the country and it's a Humber?

About midway between - try Bradford.

Thanks!
Try as I might, I cannot find any reference to the model! I can find pictures of this very car but none that tell me what model it is!

Rare cars

I'm off to work now so I'll leave it to the first person with a pic........

I had the same problem. This one belongs to the Shuttleworth Collection and their web site simply names it as a 1926 Jowett type C. This is unusual as Jowetts tend to have either numbers like the Jowett 8 or names like the Jupiter. It looks like a convertible version of the 7 HP model which may be what the C designates.

Wow, I'm stumped. Is it a Vincent of some sort? Possibly an early Black Shadow? I know nothing of bikes so sorry if the guess is a bit silly.

I am guessing a triumph? Not an early motorcycle fan, but not sure how many manufacturers were producing water cooled bikes back then (if that is in fact a radiator I see).

Although I have no hopes of participating in this thread, I follow it religiously. I've learned a lot from you gentlemen. For exampley, I've never heard of a Scott Flying Squirrel, and always believed the Japanese pioneered water-cooling on motorcycles.

That is a handsome machine.
