I don't recognise the badge at all, so I am guessing it is one of the lost marques and even then something oddball, as the badge doesn't match with most of the well known marques that I am bringing to mind, unless it is a model specific badge of course.

I am going to go out on a wild hunch here and guess that it is a Princess, either the original Austin badged one (the 18-22 series wedgie) or the Princess 2 where it became a marque in it's own right. I'm leaning more to the latter as that would explain the oddball badge.

Or, I am on a complete wild goose chase.

Your right that its one of the lost marques, but its not a Austin.
They were/are a rather common saloon.
