Sorry, I guess i should've waited.. I wasn't sure if someone was going to reply since i noticed the thread has died a few times.

Don't worry about it, there have been plenty before you to have jumped in, and I'm sure you won't be the last.

The game "rules" allow 24 hours for someone to confirm a reply, or to post a new pic after a confirmed answer. So, in either case after 24 hours, it then reverts to the first person who wants to post a picture. Similarly, a person who has correctly identified a vehicle can opt out of posting (as the person who identified the MG 6R4 I put up did). In which case, again, it's open for anybody to jump in. Once another image is posted, then the game continues as normal.

So, if you have another to post, feel free as it is now open for anybody to post the next vehicle.

The game does need some new life breathed into it. It used to be really good with quite a good sized band of regulars, and some very unusual vehicles being posted, which often took some detective work to figure out. Now though, with so few people playing, there has tended to be less oddball vehicles, as with so few playing they can go unidentified and the game grinds to a near halt.

Well I was one of those regulars....
I have to admit I kinda gave up on it a few times, mainly due to people who would guess correctly and then say I have nothing, someone else take my turn.
And then 6 weeks later nothing has happened.
It's a shame really, I do enjoy this thread and I have posted many pics over the past few years. I admit I am running out of material but can still come up with something when I need to.

I was at a customers house a few days ago when I walked into his garage and saw a car that made my heart skip a beat. I stood there with my jaw hanging in absolute amazement. It was a car I have never seen in person.

I'm going to leave it at that because I am going to post it here and challenge you all to ID the thing.
But I can't do it now because Saturday morning wife and I are flying to Miami and boarding a cruise ship for 2 weeks in the Panama Canal and area. Wouldn't do any good to post it and then take off for 2 1/2 weeks!!
But it is a VERY unusual critter for sure!

But I too hate to see the thread grind to a halt. It really is a fun game, and gets the car minded people to really think sometimes. Maybe if we all just put a little extra effort in we can keep it rolling for years to come!

See ya when I get back from my cruise!!

I have posted a number of images in the past, but sometimes I pass my turn on to someone else. I don't think this is detrimental to the game as the result is only ever going to be someone else posting an image, which is what it's all about.

People occasionally get told off for posting an image when it's not their go, so at least passing a go to someone else gives them a chance if they have something they want to post but haven't been able to 'win' a go.

If the more regular posters on here would prefer people to not participate unless they also have an image to post, then please say and I'll refrain from guessing when I haven't got any suitable images in reserve!

I must apologise for my not having posted after my last guess, went out to get a shot and then completely forgot to post! I'll hang fire on guessing until I have a few bankers to hopefully mean I can post as soon as I've been deemed correct.

I'd like to see the thread continue as I'm always astounded at what you guys can guess a car from much like the last 2 shots!!!

Yeah, after all this time I have used quite a lot of my potential material, but I have a few left yet - it just takes longer to hunt them out.

Looking forward to seeing this new puzzler you have located, let's hope it's not one of those (that we have all posted in the past) where the poster thinks "this'll stump them", then it gets correctly identified in the first ten minutes . It really is hard to know what will be difficult or easy for others. I have had some I thought would be really tricky that were guessed straight away, and some that I thought were really easy take two days and thirty questions to figure out.

Enjoy your cruise and don't forget to post that car when you get back.

It doesn't bother me, I have done it myself in the past when I had no "bankers" ready to post and was going to be busy, although I do usually say that if nobody else has posted within 24 hours, I will try and put one up. So long as somebody isn't doing it all the time though, I have no objections as it can keep the game flowing quicker. The important thing is to say it as soon as possible, then somebody else can keep the game going. I think the main objection is when somebody guesses correctly and then never comes back, or they post an image then never come back to reply to the guesses.

Having a "senior moment" were we Terry .

Look forward to seeing more from you once you have some bankers set up.

OK, come on everybody. Mike-DT6 correctly guessed the last image and has passed on his go.

So - the thread is now open for anybody to jump in and post some sort of vehicle for us to guess at.

If you do post, please check in and answer replies as often as you can. At least, don't let it go more than 24 hours without coming back to the thread.

I am busy for the next day or so, but if nobody has posted something by sunday morning I will sort one out, and I warn you - it will be a tough one.

You could reduce the deadline from 24 to 12 hours. That'll potentially speed things up a bit. It's reasonable to expect someone to make it to a computer once within a 12-hour period if they're interested in the game.

I think 24 hours is fine. Don't forget that we are spread around the globe and so some people will be posting midday, during what is the night for others. I agree that 12 hours should be possible for most people, most of the time, but lets say somebody responds just after the poster has gone to bed, that will add maybe 8 hours while the person is asleep, then they get up and likely have somewhere to be, so may need to dash off to work. I know that I don't always want to be checking my computer first thing after getting out of bed.

Personally, when I post an image, I do try and check back quite frequently. I leave the computer logged in, so I just need to reload my "subscribed threads" to see if I need to make a reply, and I check back on a regular basis. However, not everybody can do that during a working day. Even then, a reply can come in just after I turn in for the night so have a few hours to wait.

Actually that's a good point. I did overlook the minor detail that we have got more than one time zone on this planet!

Well, I think maybe I am guilty here for that one!

It is certainly not my intention to imply anyone don't bother guessing if they don't have something to post. I can see where it may get construed that way, based on a comment or two from me.

But it certainly would be nice if anyone who participates would take the time to come back and check to see if they need to follow up. There have been a number of posts just left hanging in the past.

My turn to say Oops! and look at it from others point of view.

All of us regulars here would like to see as much participation as possible so have at it everyone and I won't ever make a comment like that again! Lets keep the game going in any way possible!

Assuming that riveted plate in the corner of the roof is where the radio aerial once lived, and going by the roof line, I think it might be an old Honda Accord.
