Ok, here's the deal. I work for a mobile intensive care unit. We were transporting a lady who just had a baby at a hospital that doesn't have a maternity ward. The baby was taken by another transport team. Anyway, I was talking with our driver while we were waiting for the ER staff to wrap up what they needed to do. I gave him my biz cards and told him to call me if he wanted some family pictures because he said he needed some new family portraits. Anyway, on the way to the other hospital, the grandmother of the baby told our driver that she needed to get some pics of the newborn baby. Our driver gave her my card and told her to call me. I didn't know he did until days later. Well, I guess there was some fallout from this. I would NEVER solicit business from a patient or patient's family. That's just unethical in my book. My bosses called me and asked what happened. I told them that I had absolutely nothing to do with it. They're looking into all of this. I'm pissed that he has given me a bad name. I was able to get the phone number from my managers and called the family and apologized to them. I told them that I do not condone what he did and that I had nothing to do with it. They believed me and apologized to me for the mix up. Moral of the story is.....watch your back.
