I am going to get the 40D kit in the next month.
I went to my local shop looking at a trade in value for equipment that I am not using much anymore.
What I have to trade in is:

Canon Rebel G w/ kit lens 35-80. from the mid 90's
Canon 75-300 USM (Steel back) late 90's
Canon 55-200 USM. 2007

Total worth $220.00 Basically a 15% discount off the selling price of the 40D.

I will keep the Rebel 2000 with 28-90 USM .

Is there something on the list that says "keep this" don't trade in for that price.

Thanks.

Looks like you'll have an XTi and the 40D? No reason to keep that other stuff, unless you plan on shooting film, but with the gear you have it doesn't make sense to shoot film!

If you plan on shooting film, then why not sell your XTi and buy the 40D?

As in all trade ins it's a little low, but not criminally so. But, it also depends on what the camera shop is charging you for the 40D. If you're paying $200 more than you could get it from B&H or Canoga, then that trade in is basically worthless.
