Decided to prune the tree!

I have a large alder right infront of my deck that I had got fed up with blocking my oh so rare sun. I decided to prune it last week. It was a very bright sunny day, sorry for the quality of the shots.

Also, forgive the "white trashness" of my beech... I am waiting for the divers to come in repair and set a new anchor for my dock, so it sits on my beech...

1) Here is what it looked like when we started.
