I am having a devil of a time getting my 430 to fire wirelessly. I am now on my third hotshoe adapter, and not a single one has worked.
Slide it on and plug it in, and it should work, right? or no......
Help!

PC cord? radio set of some sort? Optical slave? "If you're not having fun, your pictures will reflect that." - Joe McNally

Thanks for responding. This space for rent.

If that's what you're using, then that's your problem. It's made to connect to the camera's hotshoe and provide a PC socket. The top of it is a "cold shoe" with no contacts for triggering a flash. "If you're not having fun, your pictures will reflect that." - Joe McNally

But if you're using Skyports, this would be a better option: Avoid the PC connector when possible. They mostly cause headaches. Thanks, but according to Lon, that's not an option right now. He's having some supplier issues on that piece, and doesn't feel too positive about it right now....... This space for rent.

The one you posted will work with the right cord between the Skyport receiver and the adapter. "If you're not having fun, your pictures will reflect that." - Joe McNally
