...125 miles away. :(

Since I have finals next week, and I don't trust the school handling a $1,000 camera in the mail, I had it shipped back home. So now I own my first DSLR but I can't use it until Wednesday, and it's really hard to think about it sitting there in my room and I can't touch it, hold it, push its little buttons...

I'll post a duck as soon as I get home.

In the meantime, someone cheer me up. :(

That does suck. I was pretty fired up when I ordered my 40D a few weeks ago, I even sprung for overnight shipping on my stuff. I kept refreshing the ups site and as soon as I seen it was delivered I was down poking around in the mail room. They got a little upset so I went back up to my desk. lol

This was my first dslr as well, had a s3 before. Your going to love this thing. :D Happy shooting.

Freshman class of 2006 for me! We'll see when I graduate depending on whether I decide to get one or two degrees.

How are you going to be able to concentrate on finals with a camera at home calling your name?! Oh the agony of it all :)

Same here - class of '82 (took me 11 years to do it!).

Someone needs to post a pic of an "Oregon Duck".

No way they would, since it'd take them at least five hours and cost $40 in gas, and they have to drive up here in a few days anyways to get me and then a few days later for my brother's graduation.

Except they don't allow SLRs at UW football games...or any of the major sports, to my knowledge. But that would be one of the greattest duck photos ever.

If you had it, you'd play with it instead of preparing for the finals. So it works out good. Just ask your parents to open the box & make sure it fires up & takes pictures. I had UPS literally _drop_ a package at my porch.

You pay for the ticket to get in and you cannot take pictures?

This world is going to hell in a handbasket quickly.

Besides, tell them its not an SLR, turn on live view and say its a point n shot.

99% sure thats not true. I took an xti and 70-200L (so not exactly subtle) to a couple husky football games this year and 30d with the L to the Apple cup. I also shot tennis at nordstrom...

Hmm, I emailed and the only response I could get out of them was "no professional-style camera equipment." I emailed back asking for a clarification on that and they never responded. I've seen people with SLRs at volleyball games, but I've also seen a bunch of people get told to put them away at basketball games.

I'll have to actually call the athletic department and talk to someone about it.
