Thanks for the reassurance SBCmetroguy. I'm in Nashville and spent some time down your way and you get about what we do weather wise, with a bit more humidity.
It's the plastic rebel XT that I have as well. I am thinking it will be okay as it's an hour at most travel time (allowing for traffic and getting lost, which I am sure I will do at least once!!)
I lost an external hard drive by leaving it in the car on the first day it was really hot, for about 2 hours, a few years ago. I am just really paranoid.
Stocky- Thanks for the ISO advise. Since I will be shooting inside with continuos lighting and speed light on a strobo frame I was planing to shoot at 125. Will do some test shots when I get there.
I, too, am worried about the photographer in this heat!!! It's been 10 degrees higher than normal for this time of year for several days and the rest of the week is forecasted to be the same if not worse. I am very heat sensitive as well.
Just got back from a run to get some last minute items and I am soaking wet!!
May take a change of clothes with me and wear my tackies for driving and setting up, then change as I cool down.
I am pretty prepared, but I've got 5 hours until I have to hit the road, so doing checks on all equipment and packing up.
Thanks for the advise!!
