I hope I'm just getting to grips with the 70-200 2.8, I love my girl's excitement when the meadow is flooded, but please feel free to rip it apart- I'm desperate to learn.

Nice shot, maybe a little slower shutter speed so the water looks more liquid and in motion? But then again maybe that will cause the dog to blur...

He he, you should have included Bart Simpson playing with the shotgun, off the right on the picture.

I like this image a lot, specially the crop. The Black and White balance perhaps is a bit off, but I am not sure how I could explain it, I am at the point where I know how I like it, but not how I get there (if that makes any sense).

If I imagine this foto with an acqua pond, and a perfectly white dog, perhaps a blue collar, and yellow vegetation, I might have tried a color version. but again, chances are that if the water is brown, the dog is outside therefore playing in the dirt, and there is nothing else in the surroundings worth a color, this black and white is the best way to go.

Have you tried making Nana a bit lighter?... That way, it will atract more attention. The water is fine, as it shows more movement. I keep almost remembering something about contrast and movement...

I'd say you are getting the 70-200 down pretty good. Love the image and the conversion. Composition is excellent as is the expression.

Nice job.
