ahah the smile in 6 is great
Funny you guys say this. My mum and some people at work have actually said that the horse looks "pissed off" and "upset" [I hope it wasn't!]
Nice shots, and you must be pleased with the lens
I am!
I got the lens as my first lens when I got the 40D back in February [I had the money so I thought "why not"]. It's my first DSLR [had the Panasonic FZ30 before it] so the first couple of months were quite frustrating [In my eyes, average images produced by an expensive "L" lens; this sucks] but as I have become more familiar with the 40D they have got a bit better.
One thing that I have struggled with is the ISO! Don't worry, I understand what it does and how it's used in conjunction with the aperture & shutter speed to produce a good image. My problem was that I continually had it stuck on 100! Why, because my FZ30 couldn't really handle anything over 100 so I was scared to "up it" on the new 40D. How stupid was I! Most of the shots in this post were @ 400 [Because of the lack of sunlight; it was fairly cloudy]...
cheers,
