Pitstone Windmill is believed to date from 1627 which would make it the oldest in Britain. C&C welcome.

For me it has more interest and is the best composition. I could certainly go along with a little brightening of those blossoms that are straight out in the middle ground. Bob

Something is kind of distracting about it being directly on the corner.

If so, tell me how please! On all of them I used my trick of repeatedly applying the "clarify" effect in Paint Shop Pro (a sort of localised contrast enhancement). This brings out some detail in washed-out skies and gives an HDR-like feel. Overdoing it creates the halo effect chappie pointed out. It also introduces noise so I then use the noise removal tool and finally sharpen. It's all a bit crude really and I'm sure someone with better PP skills could make them pop and still look natural. Out of interest here's the first & last shots in their original form straight from camera if anyone wants to have a go: Gallery
